0 is not a size

Let's admit it, sometimes we all wish we were someone else. When it comes to me I'd want to be Selena Gomez cause man that girl is perfect. But we should all love ourselves for who are and accept ourselves for what we look like because no matter what we're all beautiful in our own way.

Sometimes we go to the store and find something that doesn't fit us cause it's too small, or maybe it's too big, you know we all have different issues. But no matter what size anyone is, we all bring a beauty into this world that is truly one of a kind. So be proud of what you look like and what size you are because there's no one better than the real you.

The Old Style = The New Style

Throughout the years we have seen that every style comes back no matter what because at a certain time it becomes cool again. When it comes to me personally, my favorite style might take a really long time to com back or it might not come back at all.

The time when women wore corsets and dresses was the time when they felt the most restrained but if I had lived in that time I know that I would've never felt more free. The dresses they used were so beautiful and girls and women could do everything in dresses which is exactly the kind of thing I already do. Here are some of the examples of dresses that I would love to come back into style.

Weddings

Your wedding is one of the most important days or your lives. It's the day when you decide to live your life with your partner with the intention of staying with them forever. It's the day that'll go exactly how you want it to go, you get to pick out even the smallest of the details and make it look like the wedding of the year. But the most important detail of all is the dress. You need to make it show exactly who you are, other than beautiful. Yeah sure they're expensive and you only wear them once, but so what? You're only getting married once too! :)

Boys Have Sense of Fashion? Who Knew (;

Every day I interact with girls and always admire the certain things that they wear simply how they accessorize what they wear. I see the cutest dresses, skirts, crop tops. But it's rare when i catch myself complimenting a boy on something other than his soft sweater. Why might that be? I think that it's because, unlike girls, guys don't pay attention to what other guys think of what they wear. When I come to school I mostly see boys dressed in athletic wear and sometimes when they actually have to dress up they complain. Well most boys. This past year I noticed a few things about the boys that come to Whitney Young. 

1. There's  a popular use of plaid shirts (like the one shown above on our beloved Channing Tatum)

2.It became popular to overlap certain clothing like sweaters and shirts, or sweaters and jackets, most commonly leather jackets. 

3. They started wearing Sperry's with high knee socks, although not nearly high enough to reach knees.

Although we never really pay much attention to what boys wear, or at least I don't, because let's face it, most men depend on women, especially when it comes to fashion. 

Fashion Is Ageless

You're never too old or too young to be interested in Fashion. Some people start when they're young by  making clothes for they're dolls out of scraps of fabric or just taking a needle and some fabric and creating something one of a kind. But being interested in fashion doesn't mean that you necessarily have to make clothes. Maybe you just want to look good or help others look good as well. 

I think the first picture perfectly shows how parents sometimes take up the role of a fashionista to help their children look cute and stylish. As we grow up we let go of the fashion sense that our parents have and create our own because we don't want to be anyone else, although there's nothing wring with looking up to someone with fashion sense. In the second picture we see a girl owning different styles because when it comes to fashion and you, you can be whoever you want to be. 

That last picture is my favorite because the girl is sitting on top of her rack of clothing with such pride because that's her fashion and no one can take it from her. People can criticize if they want, but people always will and we just have to ignore them.

So no matter how old you are, dress the way you want, be yourself, because no one else can take up that role. Work every outfit, mix and match, because as long as you like it and you wear it, it's fashion.

Bedrooms Have Fashion Say Whaaat

I want to start off by saying that these bedrooms are beautiful. 

Next I to talk about each room individually, obviously starting off with the last. 

Notice how the color scheme stays consistent with just three colors, a soft pink, a darker pink, and beige. The designers are not trying to put too much color because they run a risk of designing and room with cute furniture surrounded by tacky colors. The lights hanging against the drawers and the flowers on the rug and drawers are both very important details. They give a sense of who the person living in the room is like. The room is both simple yet elegant which in my opinion is a true masterpiece.

The second bedroom is obviously smaller than the last but portrays its character perfectly. From the drapes over the bed to the random painting on wall, to the books (which may or may not be for decoration), we can see that although having to work with a small space the designers were able to put a lot of detail into it. It gives the impression of beauty and a sense of comfortableness. 

The first room is a bit different for the other two because it has zebra print, making it stand out a lot. My favorite part of the bedroom though, are the shelves. Like the second bedroom, we'll never know what the real purpose of the books are but I will assume that it's for decoration. The books, boxes, and vases are purpose;y set there because it gives a crowded but beautiful impression. The four small paintings in the middle also give it such fabulous fashion.

What I'm trying to say with this is that every designers clothing leaves a different impression and the smallest details are the ones that let it be unique and make up a truly significant impression. And just like we dress people up with our clothes, interior decorators dress up rooms with furniture and paniitings,etc.

Fashionable Cakes 💄

When people think of the word Fashion, they think clothing. But they forget that fashion is simply another form of art. As you can see in the images above, the cakes looking amazing and clearly portray a persons style. It takes us a while to have our designs come to life which is exactly what Bakers go through when creating such elegant cakes. If you notice, the three cakes shown have absolutely nothing in common because each baker, like a designer, is completely different. We all choose to pursue different styles and that's perfectly fine because we are all meant to be unique.

When baking a masterpiece, you have to take your time to calculate and measure everything. You have to give it your all throughout the time of creation and you have to love it and love what you're doing. Sounds a lot like making a garment right? That's because it is. It's art. It's fashion. And in my opinion art is nothing without fashion
